Approval & Product Certification
As part of the harmonization of European countries’ technical legislation in line with the current European framework, procedures are in place to guarantee the safety and quality of products, whether production takes place within Europe or outside the EU, the certification of products, necessary for each producer / merchant mediator – representative / importer of products in order to move them within European borders.
The emblem of Swiss Approval International is an approved Brand Name, a widespread brand, as well as an indisputable tool capable of supporting producers / commercial agents / importers in the implementation of Community legislation on product safety, indicating how these products have been validly inspected by authorized operators for compliance with applicable European directives or regulations before they are placed on the European Union market.
CE and GS Marking
The CE mark of conformity is an important indicator demonstrating the compliance of a product with the regulations of the European legislation and it plays the role of a “passport” for the free movement and distribution of the product in the European market. The products covered by the CE marking requirements are those that are included and are explicitly mentioned in the “New Approach Directives” and the “Technical Harmonization Guidelines”.
The GS Mark mark on a product means “Geprüg fte Sicherheit” / “Testing for Safety” and certifies the product’s compliance with the requirements of the German legal framework regarding safety and in accordance with relevant regulations, trade union requirements, standards DIN and EN, as well as widely accepted technical specifications.
The Swiss Approval Group of Companies has the know-how and the necessary laboratory network to undertake the issuance of a CE certificate of conformity to the majority of products already available or to be marketed.
Workshop network
The Swiss Approval International Network of Associated Accredited Laboratories satisfies all legal requirements for control and certification for the free movement of products in Europe or the US, and guarantees product safety and compliance through independent testing, technical inspections and inspections in each phase, from the original design to the final production and use.
